One step too far
One day too long
One trip to a star
One lonely, sad song

One poet, lost in a word
One paper, an empty page
One big world of hurt
One poem written in rage

One song, sang to God
One note still lingers around
One story, still untold
One lonely, lonely sound

One memory will still remain
One is lost without hesitation
One cold, sad, heavy rain
And a poet wanting God’s confrontation

One step too far
One fall into the depth
One trip to a star
One secret, in my heart kept
