其實今天是 Manny 的外拍活動（誤）

睽違 17 年的躲人隊終於又來台灣！雖然天氣很熱、雖然雨刷隊陣容越來越強大、雖然小小郭沒上場，但是能看到 Manny Ramirez 總叫人覺得爽！

節錄一些球員對於台灣行的感想，雖然都是客套話，但是看了也爽啦：

Lucas May:（2008 年中國友誼賽成員之一）

“You don’t realize how you touch people the way we do, even when they don’t know your name, just the uniform, The people here love baseball and are in awe of the Dodgers. The history of China was interesting, with the Great Wall and Tiananmen Square. But here, the people know their baseball and are so friendly and respectful. They’re always smiling and that goes a long way.”

你實在無法想像我們和群眾接觸的方式，儘管他們只認識球衣而不知道你的名字，這裡的人非常喜愛棒球而且對於道奇也非常敬畏，儘管中國之旅非常有趣，有著萬里長城和天安門廣場，但是在台灣，人們瞭解他們的棒球也非常友善、有禮貌，他們總是帶著微笑，這就是最好的語言。

Manny Ramirez:

“I love the food, and the people treat you with respect, I’m planning to come back and enjoy myself.”

我愛這裡的食物，人們待人都很尊重有禮，我計畫還要再來並好好享受。

Jamey Carroll:

“It was better than I expected, a pleasant surprise, I knew there would be a lot of support, but it’s been crazy. The autograph session yesterday was fun. It was a madhouse, even though it was pouring rain. I’m happy I came. Definitely worth the experience.”

一切都超乎我預期的驚奇，我知道會受到一些擁戴，但這也太瘋狂了。昨天的簽名會很有趣，就像是瘋人院，儘管正下著傾盆大雨。這無疑是非常值得的經驗。

James Loney:

The people here were excited to see us play. I didn’t really hear that from the guys coming back from China, I guess it’s not as intense there as it is here.

I feel the people here look to us as important to them. The fans are very knowledgeable about the game. They know our team pretty well.

球迷非常興奮地來看我們比賽，我是沒有親耳聽到從中國賽回來的那些人的說法，我想是中國的比賽沒有台灣來得刺激。我能感覺到我們對於球迷是如此的重要，就如同他們對我們一樣，球迷對於球賽也充滿了知識，他們相當瞭解道奇。

I’m glad I came, I enjoyed it. A lot of guys didn’t want to go after the China trip. I knew Taiwan as a country is a little ahead of China as far as the economy has developed.

In China, most people are still trying to become more advanced. Here they have a TGIF and a Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse.

We went to the Nike Store, normal things you would do back home. Most people I encountered knew English. And they were real friendly people.

我很高興我有參與。有些球員自從去了中國之後就不太想來。我知道台灣在經濟上是小幅領先中國的。在中國，大部分的人們還在追求進步。而這裡有 TGI Friday 和茹絲葵。我們也去逛了 Nike、做一些你回家後也會做的事。我遇到的人大部分都會說英文，他們也都非常友善。

Joe Torre:

The people have been terrific, The cities are very clean. I’m still not going to put a lot of weight on from eating the food, but they couldn’t have been more enthusiastic. The security has been great. And it’s been necessary, because of the enthusiasm of the people.

這裡的人們實在了不起，市容也非常乾淨。我因為體重的關係無法大快朵頤，但是他們總是這麼熱情。維安也做得非常好，當然這是必要的，因為群眾真的太熱情了。
